Life After Instagram | The Calm Creative

I’m sure that you can relate. Having hope that you will make a living doing something you love, only to stall when you find that social media is a dead end, that none of your posts are reaching people, that you’re putting in days of effort crafting content that you feel is valuable only to be depressed after the thrill of making and posting something meets with the depression of your hard work being met with little or no response.

Please know that you are not alone in these feelings. Loneliness is the pandemic that was caused by the pandemic. We were forced into a life of smartphones and video calls, ruled by the tech giants at the expense of having the freedom to relax in a cafe or get together with friends. Even now that our liberties have been restored, the effects of those years of isolation are still being felt by many.

Don’t be discouraged. There is a way forward.

I wanted to share a video with you. The video is by a YouTuber whose channel is called The Calm Creative. On her channel, she offers encouragement about how to run a creative business without social media. Her advice is something I needed to hear, and it might help you as well.

God bless

Steven
