Sin

Friends,

I have had a monumental struggle with vaping. Every time I read about sin and sanctification in the Bible, I feel I must quit caffeine and nicotine. But then I reach for my vape pen or make a coffee.

I was reading Romans in the New Testament today, and the words of Paul: “So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.”

“Wretched man that I am!”

That’s how I feel.

I find chapter 8 verse 1 comforting: “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

How are you today? What are three things you’re thankful for today? Let me know in the comments!

God bless

Steven

  2. Hi Steven! Remember when Jesus said that it isn’t what goes into a person that makes him unclean? It is adultery, hatred, and other things that come out from us that make us unclean. Vaping isn’t great for your health, but I don’t think you should consider it a horrible sin. If you can stop-great! But please don’t be too hard on yourself.

      1. I’m good! Thanks for asking. I’m glad that you were already thinking about that same passage! Sometimes God has to send the message a few times to make sure we hear it!
