Why Not Rather Be Wronged?

Good day everyone.

I suffer appalling treatment from my neighbours in the area where I live on a daily basis. Their aggressive coughing pains my heart, and I am continually mocked.

The best thing to do in such a situation is to live a quiet life, to love them, pray for them, and not react to their abuse. I have realised that rather than ‘sticking up for myself’ it is better to allow myself to be wronged and trust that God will administer justice in the appropriate way and at the appropriate time.

I truly hope my neighbours find salvation in Jesus, but I cannot force the issue, I can only be myself.

In my daily Bible reading today I read the following words of Jesus: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears my word and believes in Him who sent me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.” What a great mystery this is! To not come into judgment is perhaps the supreme mercy and to be given everlasting life, God’s ultimate blessing.

Today, I plan to do some cleaning and set up the speakers I bought for my home recording setup, which arrived yesterday. I also have to go to the postbox to post a letter, and I need to visit the pharmacy.

May your day be characterised by humility, godliness, gentleness, kindness, respect, and love. And remember, as I will try to do, that you mustn’t react when you are wronged. Trust God to take care of it.

Blessings,

Steven
