Hello friends,
I’m feeling lonely again and I won’t go into the reasons why, except to say that I’ve made quite a lot of effort to reach out to people but they don’t seem to have the same level of need as me, so I’m rather stuck in loneliness again. Don’t worry though, no more angry venting! Instead, I’m going to try to brainstorm a few things I can do to keep me feeling positive this evening and over the weekend. I will organise them into a schedule which I will endeavour to stick to!
Tonight (Friday night):
1. Worship music. I’m particularly enjoying ‘Awesome God’ and ‘Unstoppable God’ and an album by Sufjan Stevens, so if the neighbours are partying tonight and I feel overwhelmed I can hide under my duvet with my earbuds in and listen to those. ๐ต
2. Healthy food. I’m on a very tight budget and cooking is hard with my arm injury, but I’m going to try to eat some healthy tasty food tonight. ๐ฎ
3. Tidying. Tidying is a slow process for me at the moment but I inevitably feel better when my flat is organised so I plan to put on some music and slowly get the flat in order, probably this evening. ๐งฆ
4. Bathe my arm. Love and care are great healers and I find benefit in bathing my injured arm in warm water regularly. It leaves a nice feeling and may do the injury some good as well. ๐
Saturday:
1. Do a life brainstorm. I haven’t done one of these in ages but they can be fun and helpful. I would sit down with a blank sheet of paper and consider my life circumstances, perhaps making some plans and seeing what God brings to mind. Exciting! ๐
2. Exercise. I really don’t want to, but I must do some exercise! I’m limited in what I can do with my injury, but there are still some exercises that come to mind. Come on Steve! ๐งโโ๏ธ
3. Cook a pot of chili. I think I have all the ingredients I need to cook a big pot of chili which I can enjoy with rice over the next few days. ๐
4. Order some groceries. I’m going to hunt around my groceries app for the best deals and bargains and get a home delivery. ๐ฅ
Sunday:
1. Do a Bible study. I might do this on Sunday morning. I’ve already been researching how Old Testament prophecy in books like Zechariah, Isaiah, and Ezekiel relate to current events in the Middle East and I’m keen to learn more about this so will consult WordPress, Google and YouTube with my Bible open and see what I find! Let me know if you know of any relevant articles or videos. ๐จโ๐
2. Quality prayer time. I will create a warm and gentle atmosphere in the flat with incense, music, and candles, and pray for everyone in my life, in the UK, in the world, and in all creation! ๐
3. Write a blog post. Not sure what about, but I hope that I’ll be inspired over the weekend and that writing an article will make me feel inspired as we head into a new week. ๐ป
4. Things to do list. This should get me in a good frame of mind for the coming week. ๐๏ธ
I will also try to make contact with my dad and my sister and one or two friends for general catch-ups.
Do let me know what you’re planning to do over the weekend, whether you’re combating loneliness or have a packed social life!
God bless,
Steven x
