Perfect Chaos

Warm wishes for a blessed week

Hi friends,

So sorry to have caused disturbance yesterday. I have been experiencing quite extreme mood swings due to a lack of having a loving relationship in my life. However, God comforted me and revealed some things to me which have made me feel much more relaxed and comfortable and I am presently feeling peaceful and grounded. Huge thanks to those who prayed for me.

I realise that the emotions I struggled with after a lack of engagement with my post are quite common and the reason why I didn’t hold back from expressing my anger on this occasion is because I’m trying to encourage other people to be more expressive of their emotions. The Internet can cause huge frustration and it’s important to be able to express that frustration, though I don’t always recommend doing it in the way I did! Much better to talk openly with a friend or family member you trust, if you’re fortunate enough to have such a person in your life. Generally speaking, it’s best to calmly say “I’m frustrated” or “I’m angry” to someone you love.

Today, I’ve been tidying and cleaning. Yesterday, I discovered how wonderful it is to sit on my front doorstep with a hot drink and quietly observe my surroundings. I don’t have access to a garden so it can get a little claustrophobic being indoors all day. To be able to watch the leaves of a tree swaying, feel a cool breeze and enjoy the sight of the night sky is a huge blessing. Please spare a thought for those who are in prison or in hospital at this time and be sure to pray for their peace and wellbeing.

Please know that I am praying for you to be protected from all evil in the coming week. God hears every prayer.

With love

  1. Hi Steven,

I’ve been following you for several years now. I read almost all of your posts and I try to “like” them just so you know someone is out here. I very infrequently “reply” to any posts, so don’t feel like your blog is being reacted to (by me) any different than I treat other blogs.

I have been blogging for almost 15 years now and I follow several hundred sites. Fortunately, the vast majority of them don’t post daily – LoL…

Anyway, I just wanted to say you shouldn’t post for others. Post for yourself. You never know who will stumble across your blog or when they will do it. This is all VERY ephemeral, just as life itself is. It may be years before the person God intends you to “reach” actually sees your posts. That is not important and should not be the “WHY” of why you do it. Write because you are a writer. The important thing is that you try to express what God moves you to communicate.

God moves you to write and THAT must be sufficient for now.

    Regards,
    Kevin

    1. Hi Kevin,

Thanks so much! I think there are a number of reasons why I write, different each time. But you’re right in saying that God brings the right people to the right article at the right time, so it’s good to be patient.

Really appreciate your message and it’s encouraging to know that you read many of my posts.

      Much love!

      Steven
