Not for Fools: Death and Ecstasy eMagazine

Death and Ecstasy is a new monthly adult eMagazine I will be writing and editing.

Each issue of Death and Ecstasy will contain between ten and twenty literary micro articles drawing on the whole spectrum of human interests, including nature, music, philosophy, religion, law, literature, sex, history and more. Each issue will focus on two contrasting themes (for example, clocks and oranges).

As April 1 is April Fools Day, I thought I would present a literary micro article about the event to give you a taste of what to expect in the eMagazine.

~ PRANK YOU RUDELY ~

April Fools’ Day—occurring on April 1 each year—has been celebrated for several centuries by different cultures, though its exact origins remain a mystery. April Fools’ Day traditions include playing hoaxes or practical jokes on others and often yelling “April Fools!” to enlighten someone at the end of a prank. The history of the event is shrouded in mystery.

A classic April Fools Day prank, often used in my family, is to place a whoopee cushion (a small pink inflatable fart balloon) in a conspicuous location such as under the cushion of an armchair and then call in your your sibling about a very serious matter such as the death of their hamster and insist that they take a seat. Hysterics inevitably ensue.

If you’re interested in subscribing to Death and Ecstasy eMagazine you can visit the website for further information or to sign up.

With foolish love,
