Brief Personal Update

It’s been a few weeks since I posted. Sadly, I attempted to end my life and have spent the last four weeks recovering in hospital. I am doing well now although coming to terms with everything I experienced both in the weeks before I self-harmed and during my time in intensive care is a challenge. My sister and father have been absolutely amazing.

If any of you have had near-death experiences you are welcome to email me, I might find it comforting to chat with you about some of what happened. I am so grateful to God that I am recovering well and every day I still appreciate the goodness and mercy that He continually shows. I did experience some quite intense suffering but the fact that I’m sat here typing this and feeling happy is a mercy for which I am so thankful.

I may write a longer post elaborating soon, but for now I will sign off and thank you for your time. Peace be with you and God bless you.

  4. Thankfully you survived but I know right now you may not realize it. Something in your life must have pushed you to take such measures. I personally have attempted many years ago and it just so happened my sister came home at that exact time saving me. I was hospitalized and placed in a mental hospital for 2 weeks. My injuries reserved to my neck from the hanging.

For me depression is apart of me and even today I think about ending my life but it’s difficult having a wife and daughter who I’d leave widowed and fatherless.

Keep your head up, take care of yourself.

      1. Thank you Steven, I hope so too but sadly this bout of unemployment in my life right now is affecting my mental health and my ability to see my usefulness especially since I have a family to provide for.

        1. I can understand, Joseph. Just remember there are always infinite possibilities. Keep praying about everything and I hope God will work things out for you. Will pray for you.
