Life Update: Feeling More Grounded

Hello everyone. Thank you for subscribing to my blog and reading my posts, I really appreciate it. I thought I would give a general life update, being open and honest about my thoughts and feelings.

I’m still in hospital, I have leave but only escorted leave around the hospital grounds. I’m feeling quite trapped and really want to go home, but everything in God’s perfect timing.

Theologically, I’m grounded in my Christian faith, reading the Bible every day and praying regularly. I can’t wait to worship God in the congregation again.

I still have a deep respect for Islam but I have never been a practicing Muslim. I just want everyone to appreciate the beauty and wisdom contained in the Qur’an.

As I wrote in a recent post, I believe in the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, but I also take seriously the Quranic teaching about Jesus being a prophet and not God. I think I believe in the unity of God, so I struggle a little with Trinitarian formulations that imply Jesus has existed eternally.

When I am discharged from hospital I hope to do some work in my local community around interfaith spirituality, bringing together Christians and Muslims especially for theological and philosophical debates.

You can support me during this challenging time by praying for me and considering purchasing one of my books. All the details can be found on the Books page.

All glory to the One True God forever. Amen.
