A Worship Music Playlist For You!

Posted by

Greetings, dear ones. I don’t know if it’s just me, but it always seems that people get very excited about sharing their favourite songs with loved ones, and yet somehow being the recipient rather than the giver of musical gifts can seem a little daunting. However, this will not be the case with the musical collection I’m sharing with you today, which is surely going to bless you in wonderful ways! πŸ˜‰

I’ve put together a worship music playlist entitled ‘Worship Old and New’. I considered the inclusion of every song carefully, and have also put thought into the order in which the songs are presented, to reflect the variety of genres and styles that are included. There are some classic hymns, there is some contemporary indie worship, a bit of Hillsong of course, and even (gulp!) a song written and performed by me towards the end.

I limited the playlist to 20 songs because I thought this is an ideal number for being substantial enough that you can blast it out while you put the hoover round, but at the same time not being so lengthy as to become overwhelming and taxing to listen to. The playlist is presented for your enjoyment, for the lifting of your spirits during these difficult times, and to the glory of God.

The playlist was put together using the YouTube Music app, but anyone with an Internet connection should be able to listen to the playlist via the link below. For people who aren’t subscribed to a YouTube paid plan there will be some advertisements (I expect), but I hope these won’t detract from your enjoyment of the songs too much.

Listen to the ‘Worship Old and New’ playlist

If you enjoy the playlist, you’re welcome to share it with friends, drop a link on social media, or you could reblog this post. We all need uplifting music during the lockdown season, as gathering in public has been forbidden in many places. I hope you find the songs on the playlist to be moving, healing, and uplifting. God bless you, thank you Jesus, and praise the Lord! πŸ™Œ

        1. I’m actually a fan of Stravinsky! Takes me back to my A-Level Music days when we studied one of his overtures πŸ™‚ I have very broad taste in music, I think there’s brilliant music in pretty much every genre!

  1. Thanks for sharing this playlist, Steven! I look forward to listening to the whole thing. So far I listened to a few songs. I really liked your song. And I had never heard of Rivers and Robots, so thanks for sharing their music. I want to tell you and anyone who reads this about one of my favorite Christian musicians- John Mark Pantana. You will be so blessed by his music.
