A photo of Wandsworth Common on a crisp sunny morning

Out and About

Posted by

Greetings beloved friends and followers! I hope you’re enjoying a peaceful weekend. This morning I was up early and it was a beautiful, crisp winter’s morning in South London. I decided to take a walk around my local park. It’s such a blessing to be able to get some fresh air in lovely surroundings, despite living in a crazily busy city!

Here are a few snaps from my walk:

Ten Things I’m Grateful For Today

  1. A delicious meal out last night
  2. I met a couple of lovely friendly people unexpectedly yesterday
  3. There are lots of cosy cafe’s near my flat
  4. I live in an amazing city
  5. I slept soundly and peacefully last night
  6. I laughed a few times yesterday
  7. My ability to write
  8. I’m the owner of a working MacBook
  9. I’ve got plenty of amazing books to read
  10. I’ve got lovely warm clothing for the winter months

So grateful to God for countless other blessings!

What are you doing this weekend? Let me know in the comments πŸ™‚

  1. I don’t go out much. I take care of my 90 year old mother as well as have social phobia. But, I love my life so much. Love my mom and husband. For fun, I paint, listen to music, bake, do crosswords and read books. Love to read blogs too. I’m so glad we have lots to be thankful for.

    1. May God bless you for taking care of your mother! So glad to hear that you love your life πŸ™‚ Isn’t it great to be part of a worldwide community of bloggers? Another thing to be thankful for! Have a wonderful day, Belle, and thanks for leaving a comment πŸ™‚

  2. Dude, It’s so important to be thankful, great for our mental as well as spiritual health. Awesome list of things that you were thankful for. Thanks for sharing. Love the pics as well, especially the bottom one!! Well its Sunday night here and I am ready for the new week. The wife and I were given free Luxury tickets to go see the new star wars movie so we went last night and today we had church. In the middle of that we managed to work through some stuff that has been bothering us. A good weekend. Hope you have a great start to the week Steven!

    1. Hi Dave! That’s awesome you got free Star Wars tickets! How was the movie?

Great to hear you feel ready to take on the week, I will say a prayer for you that it’s a great week 😊 Also good to hear you had an important chat with your wife, praise God for that!

Really good to hear from you buddy, thank you! God bless 😊

  3. Yesterday, a solo drive to a breakfast spot was good. Some play and work time with my young son — bicycling, motorcycling, picking up leaves, and washing my old pickup truck. Planning a deeply exegetical study (approx. midway through a series of 15 or 20 sessions) in Galatians for a small group has also given me energy this weekend.

    1. Hey Lynn πŸ™‚ I finished reading The Pilgrim’s Progress and have started two other books already… one about the origin of different Bible versions and one about Unitarian Universalism which I know next to nothing about! And very grateful to own a beautiful chunky jumper that will see me through the winter months! God bless you πŸ™‚
