Spotlights shining on a stage in a music venue

Blog Spotlight (Dec 2017)

Posted by

Thank you to everyone who has submitted their blog to the Promote Your Blog page over the last month. There are so many amazing blogs to choose from, but I must stick to my guns and pick only three. Please don’t be disappointed if you’re not selected this month as there is every chance you will be featured in a future Blog Spotlight.

Here are the three blogs I’d like to shine the spotlight on this month…

1) The Abundant Heart Blog

Hi, I’m Angela of The Abundant Heart Blog. Pretty soon my baby girl will graduate from high school, and I’ll be free to pursue my dreams of becoming a writer and an artist. The blog is the prelude to my dream. Here I share poetry and devotional thoughts, but my ultimate goal is to get my poetry published.

Please stop by at

2) Lemon Zest

Hey, I write a blog called lemonzest. I’m a medical student in my final year. I started writing about 6 months ago when I was faced with some very hard times. Writing helped me heal and it helped me find myself. I realised who I truly am.
I write about travelling, baking and cooking, self help as well as other things that inspire me and help lift my spirit.

So here is the link, I hope you like it 😄

3) Run With It

Hello! I’m Sue.

In 2004, the Lord Jesus called me to write out what he teaches me through scripture and to post it on the internet. He used Habakkuk 2:2-3 as the inspiration:

“Write down the revelation
and make it plain on tablets
so that a herald may run with it.” (v. 2)

The “tablet” is my computer. The “herald” is the internet. My job is just to write what the Lord teaches me, and to place it on the internet, and then the herald runs with it. Thus, the blog is titled “Run With It.”

I hope you enjoy checking out these blogs. If you’d like to submit your blog for possible inclusion in a future Blog Spotlight, simply visit my Promote Your Blog page and follow the instructions.

Thank you so much!

  1. Steven,
Thank you again for supporting and promoting other bloggers. I have, because of your efforts, come across some great thoughts by those you have given space to, and been inspired by their words and your generous spirit.

  2. Thank you for sharing these. I can barely find my own blog, so it’s nice when other bloggers share, well, other bloggers :):) I am thankful I found your comment, on the Daily Hopeful, which lead me here. God truly does put all His children right where He wants them to be 🙂 God Bless you 🙂

    1. Hi Margaret! Great to be connected, I like that you share daily Scripture quotations on your blog – nice idea 🙂 Thank you so much for following my blog and I’ll look forward to your posts! God bless! Steven

      1. It’s the least I can do, Steven, God has blessed me more than I deserve for sure. It was more out of convenience. I was texting them to family and friends who wanted them. More, and more wanted them, and my list got to big to easily handle in a text. I’m going through a few of your post now. If I don’t comment too much it is because, well, I read my Bible, God is my constant companion but I am not as well read, or versed on a lot of your subject matter. My only knowledge of God, is what I read in my Bible. Therefore, I don’t feel, I would add much to the conversation. :):) I am enjoying reading your post though. I feel your love for God, and that is a blessing to read :):)
