'The Last Reformation: The Beginning' film advertisement

The Last Reformation

Posted by

In our age of increasingly popular social media it’s not uncommon to come across videos in which people claim they are changing the world. I stumbled upon one such video on YouTube recently and was intrigued by the title of the film, ‘The Last Reformation’.

I have recently been reading about the 16th century Protestant Reformation that was so significant in the history of Christianity which is partly why the title of this film intrigued me. But the title of the movie is speaking of a present day Reformation, with the people behind the film arguing for a return to the kind of Christianity we see in the Book of Acts.

This film is amazing and has really rocked my world, and I’m pretty sure it will rock yours too if you give it a chance. The film demonstrates the amazing supernatural power of the name of Jesus and depicts a truly wonderful movement of God. Expect to see supernatural healing, the casting out of demons, baptisms in abundance, and the Holy Spirit moving in other miraculous ways.

I was overwhelmed by the move of God depicted in this film and it touched me, inspired me, and unsettled me. The film raised difficult questions in my mind, and caused me to question why I am not taking to the streets with the gospel and asking God to use me to bring about the deliverance of many souls. It has really focused my mind on the importance of living the gospel, and not just learning about it in an academic way (though I maintain this is important too).

After watching The Last Reformation I ordered a load of DVDs of the film, which I plan to give away. If you would like a copy, please contact me. Alternatively, I have embedded the movie below. Please leave your thoughts in the comments and if you feel challenged by the film rest assured you are not alone. Let’s talk about it. God bless.

  1. Hi Steven, after watching the movie, did you start to watch any of the online Pioneer School or sense the Holy Spirit encourage you to go by faith and do likewise?

    1. Hi Tony! I’m currently working my way through the Pioneer School training and am definitely feeling inspired to get out there and live the way Torben and others do. May I ask what your own experience is? Whereabouts in the world do you live?

      1. Sorry for the delay in replying Steven. My experience with TLR started March 13 2016 when the Spirit sent me to my first kickstart. The remainder of 2016 what I learned became habit after intentionally attending Acts 2 school training which included more kickstarts. No man is ever going to convince me that healing isn’t for today. Read my story here: https://christjesus.blog/2016/03/14/tidal-wave-upon-us-as-christ-as-us-is-fast-becoming-daily-reality/

        1. Hi Tony, I just clicked that link but your site is set to private so I can’t access it. Are you aware of this? Do I need to request an invite? Peace and blessings, Steven

  2. I am curious why you are promoting a Christian movie? I was just reading your blog post about life after death and you said quote:

“Since I have turned away from Christianity, the problem of death has become a little more complex. These days, despite extensive exploration of different faith groups, I do not associate myself with any particular religion. So there are no scriptures to comfort me and no pastors to tell me how to live in order to achieve that great prize of Christian faith – a place in heaven.”

Have you since changed your views? Have you been kickstarted yet?

    1. Hello Elianna, yes, my views have changed since I wrote that post. I am a committed Christian these days. I am hoping to attend a kickstart some time soon 😊

Are you involved with the Last Reformation movement at all?

  3. Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 13:
“Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.

When the gift of tongues ceased
Now we turn to the prison epistles, the four letters written shortly after the end of the Book of Acts, while Paul was a prisoner in Rome—Ephesians, Colossians, Philemon and Philippians…and we find that there is not one word about tongues, or the gift of healing. Even where we might have expected Paul to write of tongues in the passage about being “filled with the Spirit” in Ephesians 5:17, he has nothing to say about tongues. And as for the gift of healing, we read of that Paul could not heal himself “thorn in the flesh” ( Gal 4: 13-15) a co-worker of Paul’s, Epaphroditus, who fell seriously ill during this time (Phil. 2:25-30), could not heal Timothy (1 Tim 5:23) , could not heal Trophimus ( 2 Tim 4:20) and Paul no longer had the gift of healing, and was no longer able to heal as he did only a few years earlier in Acts 28:9. The sign gifts were no longer operating at the time that Paul wrote the Prison Epistles.

Were the sign gifts ceasing or ending towards Paul’s final days?

If tongues were for today then like Toben says that we must apply Acts 2.
Then when you received tongues did you hear the sound of a mighty rushing wind ? Did flames like fire rest upon you? Did the people hear you speak in their language ? Was it immediate or were you taught to do the Holy Spirits Gift. Is it a gift if you can be taught it?

    1. Hello Mario!

I must say, I’m very surprised to read of your skepticism regarding the gift of tongues because I have seen countless examples of this gift within The Last Reformation movement and have experienced it myself.

If you are baptised by the Holy Spirit then you can receive this gift too. I would encourage you to keep an open mind and would highly recommend Torben’s Pioneer School training series.

Try not to let any preconceptions or prejudices influence the way you see The Last Reformation movement, which is a truly wonderful and beautiful move on God. If you follow Torben on Facebook you will see new videos regularly of people receiving the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues.

God bless you and prayers for your spiritual journey.
